Visitor Procedures:
To better ensure the safety and protection of the students, all visitors, including parents and vendors, must sign in and sign out at the school office before attending a scheduled conference or to obtain permission to visit in the building or on the campus. Parents and/or grandparents who come to schools to eat lunch with their children must check in through the school’s office.
- Visitor passes - Required for all visitors and properly utilized
- Signing in and out - Required for all visitors upon each visit to the school
- Access doors - Equipped with proper signs directing visitors to the main entrance
- Exterior doors- Locked only allowing entrance via staff with keys
- Classroom doors - Locked at all times
- Students should not open doors unless given permission by the teacher
- Viewing windows - Free from obstructions
- Exterior classroom windows - Room numbers are posted to see from outside of building.
- All staff - Expected to question and reroute people without a badge to the main office.
- Weapons notice - Publicizing the possession, carrying, or use of any type of weapon on school property is prohibited
- Intercom/Video System - The building has been equipped with an intercom/video system outside the main entrance. In order to gain entrance into the building, the visitor must push the intercom. At that point, office personnel will inquire about the visitor's reason for requesting entrance.
