Franklin students celebrated BIG with Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd. The theme of our day was based off of Dr. Seuss’ book Which Pet Should I Get? In honor of this book, Franklin students participated in a community service project for the Columbus Lowndes Humane Society. They collected 3 large boxes of items from a list of items that the shelter needed. Franklin students and staff also collected $132.30 to donate to the humane society.
Students ate green eggs and ham for breakfast and were given Dr. Seuss bookmarks and stickers!
Franklin students were also visited by many of our community members who read to the classrooms. Thank you to these community members or organizations that sent representatives for volunteering their time to help promote reading!
